DU Real Estate and Construction School hosts academic and industry professionals

The Daniels College of Business’ Franklin L. Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management is hosting the 55th annual Associated Schools of Construction International Conference April 10-13, 2019, on the University of Denver campus and at the JW Marriott Cherry Creek. This year’s theme is “The Business of the Built Environment.”

“We are all very excited to invite the entire ASC to Denver in 2019,” says Barb Jackson, director of the Burns School. “Denver is one of the most happening cities in the U.S. right now and we are happy to share our sunshine and blue skies with everyone.”

During the 2019 ASC Conference, more than 225 construction management faculty from more than 150 universities across the U.S. will convene to share ideas and innovations in the development and advancement of construction education, with input from industry professionals as well. Keynote speakers include Jeff Wozer, an environmental comedian; Deb Sheehan, director of strategy at CannonDesign; and Kimon Onuma, founder of BIMStorm.

Attendees are welcome to attend Voices of Experience for free Tuesday, April 9. Rhys Duggan, CEO of Revesco Properties will be speaking at 6 p.m. at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts.

ASC is an organization of educators and industry practitioners working together for the development and advancement of construction education. It promotes the sharing of ideas and knowledge, and inspires, guides and promotes excellence in curricula, teaching, research and service.
