At Daniels, we’re eager to welcome the fall 2019 students.

Undergraduate Students:
Of this year’s incoming undergraduate students, 15.7% are first-generation college students and 6.7% are international. The more than 400 students come from 36 states and 13 countries, including Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Mongolia, Norway, Sweden and Vietnam.

The incoming graduate students at Daniels represent more than 25 states and nine countries, including Australia, Brazil, China, France, Italy, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and Togo.

In addition to work experience, the class is coming in with previous academic degrees in:

Orientation:
For the first time, this year’s incoming undergraduates registered online before orientation. Their orientation during the first week of September will focus on connecting with campus resources, including an interactive tour of the three Daniels buildings to highlight Daniels’ academic and career resources that will equip them for their time at DU. Undergraduate orientation will conclude with an ice cream social and a personal welcome from Dean Vivek Choudhury.

Graduate students will gather on Sept. 3, where their focus will be self-discovery. They will spend time learning how best to use the Daniels systems, explore their unique communication styles and wrap up with a warm welcome from the student services team and the new Dean.

Students will follow this day with a focus on how to prepare themselves for the next step in their career. Several Daniels partners, including Executive Advisory Board members, corporate partners and Daniels alumni, will join the incoming graduate students for a networking session to complete the day on Sept. 4.

The final graduate orientation day will include a Launch Challenge with Daniels corporate partners. The challenge will prepare students to engage in a team environment and employ critical thinking skills that will help them to be successful in their graduate management education. Graduate student orientation will conclude Sept. 5 with national speaker Risha Grant, who will share her insights on unintended bias.
