We are excited to announce that Professor Glenn Mueller has been appointed as the Real Estate Academic Director of the Bailey Program for Family Enterprise in the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. The Bailey Program was established to help families thrive across the generations, by helping them develop the skills and support they need. It is a membership organization, with members including family businesses, family offices and their advisors.
Glenn Mueller, PhD, Emeritus Professor, has 48 years of real estate industry experience, including 41 years of research, with 100+ published articles in areas of real estate market cycle analysis, real estate securities analysis (REITs), public and private market investment strategies, real estate capital markets, portfolio, investment and diversification analysis.
He will offer two workshops, one on “Real Estate Investing for Family Enterprise”, offered for the first time November 4-6 2024, and a more advanced course on “Evaluating Real Estate Portfolios” which will be offered in 2025.
What makes these workshops uniquely designed for family enterprises?
Most families have real estate investments beyond their homes and second homes, as places to store investment value and produce income production. Understanding the real estate asset class as an investment can help family members grow and thrive with their investment portfolios.
What are some challenges real estate investors are currently facing and how does this knowledge help them succeed ?
Real estate is a complex business with many property types, markets, submarkets and issues. Having a broad understanding of the issues and processes involved in real estate assets can help families succeed in their wealth preservation and investment goals.
“Dr. Mueller’s extensive experience in institutional and- public real estate should help families manage their real estate investments at a higher level.”-
Helena Karchere, Bailey Program Executive Director
